PJ Obriens Refit and Refurbishments.
We are proud to be involved in another re fit for a long term client! We are three weeks into our latest project at PJ O’Briens Irish Pub in the Cairns CBD. We carried out the original fit out of the pub in 1999 and the owners recognised that she was getting a bit tired and so instigated the renovation works.
The pub is generally in operation 7 days a week, up to 15 hrs a day so any shut down periods are costly for the owners so with a very short lead in time to commence construction we have literally hit the ground running with the brief being that the premise is to be reopened for their biggest trading day of the year – St Patricks Day. Our flexible management capabilities and careful construction planning alongside our awesome subbies who have set this date in their diaries, will allow us to achieve this handover. Needless to say everyone is working hard for the finish line!
The refurbishment includes complete demolition, reconfiguration and refit of the toilets, full demolition and refit of the kitchen utilising existing stainless benches and remove and re install new polished timber flooring thru out. Running in tangent to the inside works is a new outdoor dining area consisting of steel post and beam construction with off form concrete pedestals and all the little features that our architects at MMP can fit into the design. The exterior works will be ready a little after St Pat’s day.
Stay tuned for more updates on this project. Check out some of the progress photos on our facebook page
