TENDERHOOKS

Paul Brookes Constructions were honoured to be chosen as the builder for this construction project at the iconic Yorkeys Knob Boat Club.

Completed in February 2016, Tenderhooks project involved a de-fit and demolition of an existing section of the boat club and then a complete refit of the area plus an extension of the existing building to increase the footprint of the premise. The design comprised of a new bar with feature steel shelving above for spirits display, back of house bar room for cocktail preparation, new commercial kitchen with specialised cooking equipment, new staff room and staff kitchen, new open restaurant with circular upholstered booth seating and fully refurbished toilets.   New perimeter bi-fold doors were installed to open up the restaurant to the marina and large portions of the timber veranda decking was replaced to renew the look.  New sail track awnings were also installed over the new decking areas.

 

This contract was carried out on a construction management basis to allow flexibility with the client for changes and additional work.  It was a very pleasing project to be involved with and the cooperation and hard work from all involved, particularly the club management, was amazing.
